I think we'll have all our ducks in a row by the end of the month. Anyone else?

We are hoping to. DS is taking an achievement test mid-February, we already have the IQ test results. Its possible parental procrastination may push us into March smile

That's pretty much exactly where we are DMW, right down to achievement tests in mid-February.

I'm rather daunted by the parent questionnaire. I really have no idea what to write for some of the questions. I think part of it is that while I've always known ds is gifted, I've only lately become aware of just how different he is. When I look back at some of the things I took for granted from him when he was younger, I do wonder how I could have missed seeing the huge differences, though! Anyway, it's making filling out the questionnaire a bit harder. I'm glad I have the references squared away, at least.

    How's it coming for you?

The achievement test just got pushed out to early March, so I have an "official" reason to avoid looking at the forms this month smile

DS is in K in a language immersion program, and while he is severely under-challenged, he is also very happy with school and his friends. We would like the support of the DYS program, but it isn't urgent (in other words, we are slacker parents :)). As long as we manage to apply before 1st grade, we are good!

Well, based on the consensus of the responses in another thread, it looks like we might.

Oh good! I've been hoping for some virtual company!

I've finally figured out what to write about for a couple of the application questions that gave me pause. Now I just have to actually do it.

    DrinkMoreWater,

Our son is 14 and we are just now applying - I think we take the "slacker parent" award. Of course, we've been homeschooling since he was 5, so maybe we don't.

Nan, I hear you. I have the application here in front of me, waiting for the appropriate answers to somehow appear on the page of their own volition!
