He was admitted a year early at 4.....as part of his gifted iep they wanted to do small group enrichment with him and other kindergarteners....yeah, that didn't work. the k kids are neither his age nor his academic peers. He is now seeing the gifted specialist twice a week in pull out by himself, and going twice a week to an advanced first grade small reading group. his accommodations are definitely getting better. the more everyone gets to know him, the more they are learning how to meet his needs. we are really blessed with a great school!

i don't regret the decision to put him in a year early at all. he loves it....and the only time he is unhappy is when he has to do "baby work." lol.

my favorite thing that has happened at school so far is that he came home and told me this story about how his teacher told him he could play on the computer since he had finished his work. he said he wanted to play on multiplication.com. she asked if he knew how to get on the site and he said, "yes, you just type w-w-w-dot-m-u-l-t-i-p-l-i-c-a-t-i-o-n-dot-com." lol. I LOVE IT!

How lucky can you get? Thanks for spreading the cheer with that great story!
