I am looking for alternatives for John Hopkins in the Pittsburgh area for high school students. I am aware of the CMites from Canegie Mellon but they do not go beyond the 8th grade. The primary reason being all the CTY courses are around Baltimore or on the West coast and it is difficult to travel to these areas for the classes.

Our child is interested in biology and related areas. Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

The CTY courses are not all in Baltimore, they have some other east coast locations. For example, some courses are offered at the Dickinson campus in Carlisle, which isn't too far from Pittsburgh (and I think some of them are bio courses).
