woo hoo! i have been at this for a year. he had the IQ and the academic scores to qualify but he bombed on his creativity test. they gave him a new one last week (6 months later than the last) and he scored in the 99%! i knew that first one was a fluke!
they want to have him start kindergarten immediately (he will be 5 in december, about 10 weeks after the cut off), AND they are giving him additional services- pull out program and in class support and differentiation. in his pull out program they are going to make a group for him of academic peers (since starting k early still doesn't accomplish that). as of monday he will have an iep for all of this!

I asked my son on the way into the meeting today, "what will you do if they say you can start school next week?" He said, "my face will light up." awwww.
