DS (nearly 5 yo) was running around out back yesterday and I was sitting inside the screen door messing with something. I called for him to come in and he came to the door and said he was waiting for 'the girl' and could he stay and and play with her. I said fine but, was shocked a minute later to see a real live human girl out there and not an imaginary friend. LOL

I don't know, we do get a little wrapped up in our kid's imaginary world that perhaps you had your first sighting of his imaginary friend. I think I need a third witness to verify this. wink

    he he he

We currently have 'Boy' his parents, grandparents, and now a sister (can't remember her name) living in an imaginary house in our side yard. Boy had been around for a long time but, the others are newer. Maybe it was Boy's sister. I don't think I can ever watch Drop Dead Fred again.

that's funny! A few weeks back DD was talking about the big man that she was scared of in the corner of the room... I was pretty glad that he wasn't real!

Ok, this has nothing to do with your thread, but it falls under "a little funny" nicely:

    Me: Guess what!
    DD (newly 4): What?
    Me: I love you!
DD: Is that all you have to say?

    Ahhh how sweet!

Mine was doing something today and turned to me and said "pillow pets are machine washable."

    Ummmmm thanks, good to know.

    (He does love memorizing commercials.)

We also had a party for one of is stuffed animals. Around two weeks ago he said "Big Eddy's birthday is on the 18th. Put it on the calendar." LOL 'Boy's' Mom (the imaginary friend's Mom) baked the birthday cake and it had a dolphin on it.

"Put it on the calendar" -- classic! BTW, how very thoughtful of the imaginary mom. When dd's "sister" had her "birthday" (which she was having every week for a while there), dd kept on wanting to buy her real gifts and make her real cake. Hmm...
