    My friend's 4th grader just took the NWEA MAP math test 2-5 survey w/ goals. She scored overall 259. How would this compare to taking the 6+ test? Do you use the same Norms table? Is she close to the ceiling w/ that score? How would that change if it had been the 6+ test? I'm still not clear on the difference between the 2-5 vs 6+.

This means, for example, that a RIT score of 211 carries the same meaning regardless of when the test was taken, the grade level of the student who took it, and what set of norms were in place at the time. This characteristic allows us to measure student growth past a constant scale.
    I think you'd have to contact NWEA to get definitive answers to those questions. I'd love to hear their response.

    Inky - I"m looking for a link you posted that had concepts to work on etc based on RIT scores. Can you post that again please?

    They expect 8pt gain each year in math.
