    I'm pretty sure that you're correct. One of those three does need to be composite like you mention, though, so qualifying scores in reading, science, and english wouldn't do it if you bombed the math section, for instance, and didn't get the composite as a result.

    So it's 3 qualifying scores in addition to the composite or 2 qualifying scores and the 3rd being the composite?

    I would read it as meaning the composite score, plus two other qualifying scores.

    You are right. Only 3 out of 5(4 single sub + composite) is needed for applying for DYS. I was just a little surprised. DS8 came out of the test saying he missed few on reading, math, and english, but probably only got 5 correct out of all the science problems. So I was expecting that he would get reasonable scores except science. According to the offical report, he did best in science, but missed english and reading cutoff by a point each. eek

    So is 3 out of 5 scores or is is 2 plus the composite? Does the composite have to be one of them?

    Three out of five with one of those three being the composite.
