    Congratulations, Cym!

For those of us not as familiar with the test, what scaled score do those percentiles represent?

And I'm happy to hear that scores are coming in. Can't wait to hear everyone's news.

gratified3, scores that good mean the next step is the ACT. Wouldn't that freak out some high school junior, to see a 9 year old sitting at the next desk!

Congratulations! Cym, those are excellent scores.

We also received DS8 EXPLORE score. They are not as good as I expected. He only hit 3 out of the 5 benchmarks DYS for 4th grade. Maybe we will try again next year, but I really dread the wait..

Do you need all the benchmark scores? I thought it was 3 of the 5?

It reads, "At least three of the five scores listed, including the composite score." So would scores in reading, science, and english qualify even if composite and math are below 17 and 16 for 4th graders?

Yes, congrats Cym. Those are awesome scores. Ncal, those are not bad scores by a long shot. My oldest was above the DYS criterian for English and Science in 4th grade but not at their required level for anything else. She's still a pretty special, bright kid.

Dd#1 took the SAT shortly after her 10th bd in 6th grade, but she's the much larger of my two kids so I don't think that she freaked out the high school students too much. My youngest, who is really short, will probably be more freakishly small looking if she takes the SAT at 11 in 6th grade.

Now we need to wait for those Feb scores for dd#2. I imagine that we've got a few weeks left to wait.
