Some of you may recall my occasional posts a while back about my gifted cat. Well, DK (Dear Kitty?)(Darn Kitty?) is back and he's taught himself a new trick.

He likes milk, and he figured out a way to get ALL the milk out of a cup, rather than just what he can reach by dipping his head down and licking. The little so-and-so puts his paw on the edge of the cup, pulls it over, and gets himself a treat! Somehow, he manages to stay dry while the milk splatters everywhere.

I'm sorry to say that I was on a conference call via Skype the first time he did this little trick, and I didn't have the mute button on. I shouted a mild expletive followed by his name and "THE MILK!!" The line went silent while I babbled about what had happened/tried to stop the milk from running into my computer.

I'm happy to report that the computer didn't short out. I'm sorry to report that a few folks had a good laugh at my expense the next day at work. Finally, I'm really, really sorry to say that the little so-and-so did it again about a half hour ago.

That drawing is supposed to be a cat. I never claimed to be an artist!

My guess is that you were not on a video conference?

DH's cat knocks over the glass; my cat carefully dips her paw into the glass then licks it off and dips again, over & over.

Val, we should set up your cat with our new *gifted* puppy, lol. He pretty much potty trained himself in two days at 5 weeks old. smile

    Lucky you!

Too bad babies can't do the same thing at that age. blush

Does anyone here have normal pets? I know we don't. Seems like unusual just gravitates to us...

I don't think my cats are gifted, necessarily, but I'm pretty sure the Boycat is psychotic. Either that, or the house is haunted.
