Have you ever felt that a movie relates directly to you?
Movies based on true stories often have that effect.

I work for a marketing company that picked up CBS Films new movie Extraordinary Measures. The movie is based on the true story of John Crowley who is fighting to help his children overcome the life threatening disease they have contracted.

Movies like this really pull at my heart strings, and show what lengths a parent will go to if it benefits their children. I cannot wait to see the movie next Friday when it is released.

On the movies website there is an inspirational quilt that is very touching. You can upload inspirational videos and if your video is chosen, you can receive $10,000 for the charity of your choice.

Here is a link to the movies site and the inspirational quilt:

Thanks for the link ... I too am excited to see the movie but am critical of the actor choices and hope that even with main stream actors it will inspire many. Lorenzo's Oil came to mind when I first saw the preview and though the story was an amazing one; it was the actors who played the parts that just ruined the movie for me. Still can't wait to see it.

Saw the Movie this weekend. Excellently performed! I will probably be in the minority here when I say I think the Fraser may have slightly upstaged Ford.

I'll have to check this one out.

The film Phoebe in Wonderland has really inspired me as a teacher. It's about a twice-exceptional (gifted + Tourette's) girl who takes refuge in her school play.
