    Are you talking about taking some college classes at age 12 or sending the kid full time to college at age of 12? The two are quite different.

    I went to college out of state at 16. I'm not sure my experience is useful for your situation, but I had a good experience at a small, private, liberal arts school in a rural area. I think going to a school where student/faculty collaborations were encouraged made a big difference for me.
