    I still haven't heard if DD10 5th grade is in the gifted pullout. But! Today in her backpack, I found a letter inviting her to join a new pull-out math class taught by the GT teacher. Yay!

    DD's group are the guinea pigs. They have selected kids who "don't need so many repetitions" to learn the concepts and who pre-tested well. They will focus on getting ready for pre-AP middle school math. And they will get their regular math class assignments reduced to make time for the new math work.

    This sounds divine (even though it will still be slower than DD) since it's the first differentiation we've seen. I hope it goes well!


    DD12, 7th. Dx'd ADHD/GAD. No IQ test. EXPLORE & SAT just miss DYS but suspect HG+
