As I read through the board, I am filled with emotion when I see the stories of so many parents struggling to get adequate education for their gifted children. My mother and father, who both went on to be university professors, grew up in rural communities in different parts of the county. They went to public schools and were tracked (smart kids on a track to college and not so smart on the way to hourly wage jobs). Now, obviously there were many bright kids (late-bloomers, 2E etc) who were left behind in this system. It just seems like the pendulum has swung so far in the other direction�
