Not sure if this is the right place to post, but thought some of you might be able to relate to this one...

My DS7 was extremely upset about having to do some school work. He was on the verge of a complete meltdown. I was trying to soothe him and said in my most tender voice, "I need to know where these feelings are coming from...can you tell Mommy?" To which he replied, "I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure my hypothalamus."

I think maybe I'll stick with a hug the next time!

Oh! I can SO relate! grin

Did you just dissolve into peals of giggles? I would have a very hard time controlling myself, even in the face of his upset. Hilarious!

You wrote that one in the baby book, right? He'll adore that when he's a dad!

    smile Too funny!

Sounds like something my DS7 would say. He asked me to trim his toenails the other day, and when I lifted his foot up to look at them, he yelled "Mom! You're overextending my leg!"
