    Hi All,
MyDS8 went tp public school with self contained gifted class, K-1 combo. We had lot of issues eg teacher, school. So this year we switched him to a1 yr old charter school, where they tailor the gifted curriculum for ur child per his needs.
The gifted co-ordinator has both her kids highly and profoundly gifted, r always ready for inputs and want us to tell them if the child is bored.
This is my dilemma- shld i keep him in this school or put him in the self contained classroom next year?
any tips will help a lot.very confused
    thanks
    N

Seems a bit early to be overly worried about next year.

Do you have concerns about the charter school?

    Hi,
Not yet, except they don't have a much of PE curriculum, no gym, no lunch rm. Its a small campus. And grest concern is if the Gifted co-ordinator will be able to actually tailor the curriculum?
will the teachers follow her curriculum and challenge the child?

It sounds like you are concerned about 1) follow through. Will the charter be able to deliver on what they promise? and 2) resources (or lack of)

I think you may want to provide the group with more info .

that specifically went wrong/right at the previous school?
how long is the day at the new school? what subjects do you see your child needing challenge in? Any testing done? LOG? Asynchrony? what grade for the charter school? how many kids in class? will your ds have peers? have you met the teacher yet? etc.
