    Hi all

Does someone know about some good practice books to increase reading scores like in Duke Explore test, or otherwise?

    Thanks

Oh,sorry for not supplying the details.

DD is a 5th grader, got score of 18 in reading section of Duke Explore and 21 in English, and in the spring MAP testing, scored a 229.

She was frustrated because she wanted to answer more questions but got stuck not knowing the meaning of words and more situations.

I want to help her at home so was wondering if there are some good reading workbooks out there which would help her?

    Thanks

That freerice site is fun! I'm going to have my son do that tonight for his computer time.

    Has anyone tried this:

Jacob's Ladder Reading Comprehension Program, Level 3

    http://www.prufrock.com/productdetails.cfm?PC=853

I was thinking of supplementing the red hot root book suggested by inky http://www.prufrock.com/productdetails.cfm?PC=509
with some workbook on comprehension passages.

    Thanks
