I'm sure you all have the same issues as I do in that our children are very demanding in the pursuit of the definitions of words. No amount of dodging the subject will make it go away.

The latest vocabulary word that my DS6 is waiting for is....."Erectile Dysfunction". He saw a Viagra commercial and now he's hounding me!!

DS7 went through a phase of adoring all things NASCAR when he was around 3yo. No one else in the family is even slightly interested, but he loved them.

He memorized all the cars, drivers, sponsors, teams, etc. for all the cars on the circuit...including Viagra! One day he asked what that was. My short-but-sweet response: medicine for men. blush I'm usually very open about human sexuality, but I just didn't WANT to go THERE! Not at age 3!

I couldn't believe that MY ANSWER satisfied him, but it did. Whew! So I sympathize with you. Better you than me, friend! wink

While we were waiting in his doctor's office, DS12 picked up a magazine to read. When the Dr. walked in, DS proudly announced (with a smirk and a glimmer in the eye), "I took the quiz and you'll be glad to know I'm not at risk for ED!"

DW's former boss (back when DW was just working girl ) has a very prococious DD. They are also a very orthodox Catholic family.

On a visit one day we were shocked when the DD8 brassily announced that, "I love woodies! Anyone want to see my books on woodies?!?"

DW and I sat in shocked silence while her dad just smirked.

She then dissapeared upstairs and returned with a half dozen books on cars with wooden and faux-wood sidepanels. She then proceeded to walk us through the ins and outs of woodies.

There is a whole subculture on woodies if you can believe it.

We got back at him by using double-entendres the rest of the night.
