DS4's birthday is in a couple of months and he says he wants a Stegosaurus tshirt. But, he shuns cartoon-ish dinosaurs, and I'm having a hard time finding a realistic one.

Any ideas for where to look, so far Google has failed me!

(I'm starting to wonder where the dinosaur obsession is going to end, lol.)

    There's this with a fossil: http://www.shopzeus.com/product.php?sku=zeusd1-AWGR-1230069-2878

This isn't what you asked for, but it's cool and cute: http://shop.cafepress.com/item/dino...149005483&utm_campaign=white-t-shirt

    This might work:
    http://www.dinosaurstore.com/shirts.html

It's a good start at least...

I searched "Museum shop dinosaur shirt" without the "".

    Happy hunting!

there is a bunch of other things.... I have gotten stuff (and sold stuff) from there, it's good quality heat transfers.

    this is another place

What about using iron-on transfer paper and print one yourself from a picture you find on the 'net? Advice about making your own transfers

Do you have a museum of Natural History anywhere near you? We got a dinosaur shirt at ours last year.

    Thank you guys!

I knew our museum didn't have them, I don't know why it didn't occur to me that other museums will ship!

OHG, that picture is *perfect* and I have transfer paper. So, I think we might try that first just to see how it works out. And, if I don't have to spend $20 on a tshirt, he'll get 2 presents, lol.

    mamaandmore,

DS had a dinosaur birthday party for his 7th birthday. I might have posted about it before, but we ordered some sort of excavation kit from http://www.dinosaursrock.com and it was fantastic. Couldn't find it on the site, but it's there somewhere (and it's not the $400+ birthday party - it's a set of real fossils with excavating tools that four olds would be fine with). They sent a block of plaster type stuff that had fossils and gemstones imbedded in it and bunch of little chisels and brushes or similar tools. The kids each took turns excavating real fossils and there were tons of them - inlcuding a 6" megaladon tooth. The kids loved it and all of them got a cupful of fossils (we only had about 7 or 8 kids). Just in case you're interested. And they probably sell t-shirts, too. wink

Found it in their birthday party store:

Activity - FOSSIL, MINERAL & GEMSTONE EXCAVATION BLOCK
    BPS-1EX

A REAL FOSSIL DIG AT YOUR PARTY CAMP SCHOOL OR SCOUT MEETING. Find Genuine Dinosaur Bone, Shark Teeth, Petrified Wood, Crinoid Stems, Brachiopods, Amethyst, Citrine, Emeralds, Rubies, Topaz, Tourmaline, and lots more. Dinosaur Birthday Party Supplies.

    OurPrice: $65.00

Price has gone up, but it would still be worth it if you were planning to spend money on an activity. We just had the dig in the backyard, dino relay races and cake. I believe they also have a gemstone excavation block.
