I'm looking for advice on Who I should have my DS4 tested by. I want to decide, but I
i really don't know who's best! Did those of you who have had your child tested just pic someone and just go with it?
I'm testing him so that I have proof of his needs and someone the help me know what to do about them and to help him get a good educational fit when he starts kindergarten.
Some Psycologists i'm looking into are:

Lou Sherrill Ph.D (you can see her site at www.gifted.com)

    David Palmer Ph.D ( palmerlearning.com)

    Anne Beneventi (http://www.gifteddevelopment.com/About_GDC
    /catesting.htm)

    Linda Leviton (http://www.gifteddevelopment.com/About_GDC/wcgdc.htm)

These are the testers i have found so far. David Palmer seems to be the best priced.
I'd like most to have him tested by Dr. Ruff, but she's too far. Anyways any advice or recommendations would be great!

oh, also some of these people do qualitative assessment instead of IQ, do any of you recommend this kind of testing, what are it's benefits.

Are any of these recommended on Hoagies? That's always my first stop...

Personally, I'd start with those two, since real parents of GT kids recommended them or they wouldn't be on Hoagies. I'd talk with them and go with the one who seems best suited to work with your particular child. Usually a tester will talk with you a bit--at least by phone--for free so you can make a decision.

If you don't like those two, then move on to the others, interview them, and decide who seems best for your child's needs.

It's so nice that you have options! smile

    Hi Jenafur!
    ((Happy New Year, waving wildly!!!!))

You've already talked to Barbara Klein - if your gut said she knows what she is going, I think that's worth a lot.

    smiles,
