I had Pud (7) do the SCAT 2/3 grade practice test. On the math, he 7 out of 10 correct. One he missed just because he was going so fast (he did it in just over 2 minutes). The other two were fractions. On the verbal, he only got 4 out of 10 correct. He was really racing through it so I don't know if he didn't understand it, didn't think it through or just tried to beat the timer. Or maybe I didn't explain it well.

It looks to me like he'd do well on the math portion of the SCAT but not the verbal. What do ya'll think? Should he take it and we'll see what happens or is it too much above his level?

I would say take it..... really what do you have to lose? it's an hour out of your life and it's not going to hurt. If you don't want to share the scores with the school... you don't have to.

He thinks they are fun. I just went to the registration page. What do they do with the school information? Do the results go to the school? Do they verify grade level? I guess I'm just wondering why they really need this information. Thanks.
