Do some subtests lend themselves more toward being VERY strong indicators than others of math vs vocabulary ability? Obviously Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI) points to ELA strengths. What about:
    Visual Spatial Index (VSI)
    Block Design
    Visual Puzzles
    Fluid Reasoning Index (FRI)
    Matrix Reasoning
    Figure Weights
    Working Memory Index (WMI)
    Digit Span
    Picture Span
    Processing Speed Index (PSI)
    Coding
    Symbol Search

As a generalization, VS, FR, and WM indices have more relationship to math. Not necessarily in that order. There is also the QRI (Quantitative Reasoning), derived from Figure Weights and (optional subtest) Arithmetic, which is considered the best indicator of math ability.
