DD *still* doesn't regret any of her acceleration, even remotely.
I mean, sure, she has some regrets that being an outlier made this kind of thing so necessary in the first place-- but that is more about being an outlier and less about being young-for-placement.

She is also looking ahead to post-graduation and realizing that she is going to have an additional 2-4 years of earnings prior to retirement, an additional 2-4 years of peak fertility in which to juggle timing having her own kids with professional and personal goals-- which amounts to a different sort of 'gift of time' and one that she in particular appreciates more than she'd have liked the conformity of being high-school aged while in high school. Sports didn't matter very much to her, and the activities which did matter were those in which she was still somewhat competitive even with the age difference. She learned to drive in college. Lots of people do learn much later anyway now, as Val noted.

Barring a crystal ball, I'd say that the people who are best able to say whether or not a skip is a good idea are the people who know your child best-- probably you and him.
