OK, on the bar that says Forum Lost, My Stuff, User List, Calendar, Active Topics, Search, and FAQ, I see a blinking speeding envelope to the right of My Stuff.

I've tried to turn it off with no luck. Clicking on it does nothing. Clicking on the down arrow next to My Stuff, and going through the choices there doesn't seem to affect it.

How do I make it stop?

As far as I can tell, no one knows. smile We've had this question before...

Although clicking on it should take you to your pm's, if you have any.

You can't. You have to learn to ignore it. You can set your PMs to email you when you receive one*, but the blinky envelope seems to be permanent.

    * Choose "My Preferences" under the "My Stuff" menu to the left of the blinky envelope, and set "Do you want to be notified via email when you receive a private message?" to Yes.

So everyone sees the blinking envelope? Huh. Well, thanks for trying to help me figure it out. I feared I might have overlooked something obvious...
