I have a question about SAT at a very young age. Have you or do you know anybody who has registered their child for SAT at a very young age? My son is 8.5 years old and scores around 720-760 on SAT math, but I have had so much trouble and been unsuccessful in registering him to take the test. Today, after a month of calls and email exchanges following the paper registration form I had mailed, I was told that the minimum age to take SAT is 10 years old. I have looked everywhere and read everything on the topic and have never come across an age minimum of any type for the SAT. It is not listed anywhere, including on their official website or in printed documents. What has been your experience on this issue? Our son's taking the test and scoring well, while so young, could open a few opportunities for him which we currently do not have access to, so in a way, it could be life changing and this is why it is so important to us. Thank you.

There was a thread Taking SAT before age 10 . Look at message #192735 in particular.
