I have combed the threads and not really found an answer. The question is this:
On DAS-II, DYS min qualification is 145 GCA (or 145 on verbal or non verbal).
The only person we have as a nominator is last year's kindergarten teacher from her school that closed; DD6 has no special mentors or coaches or anyone tuned experienced in i.d.'ing gifted/talented kids. We did not know DD6 was gifted; we just thought she was bright. (Turns out mom and dad don't know much about childhood development!)
Does anyone have an opinion on likelihood of admission to DYS in this situation?
Curious if anyone has thoughts on how the nominator or parent answers to questions are weighted.
