My daughter has the opportunity to be mentored by a student from a prestigious college in our area. This groups is composed of mature, kind, helpful students so I know that DD10 is in good hands. The group sent out a sheet that one fills out with the child's personality traits, likes, dislikes, etc. I filled that out, but I didn't know if I should mention something that happens a lot - people read how old DD is, look at her size, and relate to her like she is much younger. Do I bring this up or what? I tried to explain this problem to a camp one time, and I got a funny look from the counselor. Sooner or later DD will make it plain that she isn't a small grade-schooler (she's in 6th), but it would perhaps help the relationship get off to the best start?
