Not sure whether this has been posted before now. I believe that most people thought this year would be the last for the Explore test. Duke TIP's website now has a note that registration for the 2015-2016 Explore test will begin in September. I can also confirm that in communication I had from someone at Duke TIP that the Explore test will coninue for 1 more year and that they are looking alternatives for the future.

Thanks for the info! I had not heard. I wonder if the talent search organizations are going to continue to use it as well.

Duke TIP is one of several Talent Search organizations...unless they feel another test is better, I am sure ACT will make the test available to the others. I think the Explore test is well respected when used for above grade level testing. Our DS 10 has taken the test as both a 4th and 5th grader....it will be nice to be able to see his progress using the same basic exam 3 years running.

Yes, Belin-Blank (BESTS) is using it for another year as well.
