We're in the NJ suburbs of Philly, and I'd love to see if there are any recommendations for counselors/therapists familiar with gifted children. My daughter is intense and we're hitting a particularly rocky patch. I'd like to find someone familiar with overexcitabilities in particular and gifted children in general. I'm don't want to pathologize what doesn't need to be.

Gail Post who frequents this board is a psychologist near Philly with a specialty in giftedness. I don't think she works w younger kids but she may have a recommendation.
