Off topic I know, but I was wondering if anybody here has attended a NDT talk? The Astrophysicist is touring across the country right now and I'm curious about it. Thanks!

Yes, what would you like to know?

We took our DD, then about 12 or 13, and her friend. We all enjoyed it, somehow he was able to make it accessible yet not "dumbed down" at the same time, lots of humor. He used lots of visuals, photos and video, (so having a seat in front of the screen(s) would be preferable) and was very topical, including discussions of current space happenings, educational news, etc. He ended with a lengthy Q and A session, interesting, but we left in the middle (long drive home on a school night).

I think you pretty much just answered it, thanks! How long did it last?

Hmmm- IIRC, the talk was perhaps an hour, hour and a half tops. We stayed for about 30 min of questions, but there was quite a line of people waiting and he showed no signs of slowing down. We would have loved to try and meet him afterwards (one gets the sense he is patient and welcoming to his fans) but as I said, we needed to duck out.

Hope you get to hear him, enjoy!
