Several times someone here has recommended a book about Emotional Needs of a gifted teens or something along those lines for me to read. Now that I'm ready to read it I can't find the recommendation, although I know I have seen it several times. Searching online shows a number of similar books. And going back through my recent posts and trying to search this board it hasn't popped up.

Books that I've often seen recommended -
    Living With Intensity
    Emotional Intensity in Gifted Students
    The Explosive Child
A Parent's Guide to Gifted Children

I also saw this one suggested recently - The Essential Guide to Talking with Gifted Teens

Thanks, the I distinctly remember teen being in the title. I am going to take a look at The Essential Guide to Talking with Gifted Teens and The Gifted Teen Survival Guide.

There was also a recommendation of "The Teenage Liberation Handbook" a while back, if that rings any bells.

A few more books which have been mentioned over time on the forum... these do not have Teen in the title but may have been filed in one's mind under teen and/or emotional needs...

101 Success Secrets for Gifted Kids
If I'm So Smart, Why Aren't the Answers Easy
    Mindset
    Understanding Myself (Magination Press, APA)
    Being Me (Magination Press, APA)

There's also the new book by James Webb: Searching for Meaning - Idealism, Bright Minds, Disillusionment, and Hope.

If none of the of the titles posted to this thread seem to be what you're trying to find, you may wish to browse the websites of some of the popular publishers of books on giftedness to see if a title there looks familiar:
    Great Potential Press
    Prufrock Press
    free spirit publishing

The website of SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) also has a Resource Library section which includes Recommended Reading, a list of books by category such as Learning About Gifted, Social and Emotional Issues, Parenting the Gifted, etc.

Here is another interesting website which some parents enjoy for the social/emotional resources, perspective taking, and social skills games.

Best wishes with this, and please let us know which book it is, when you find it!
