My daughter is a 4th grader who has been in the high achievement cluster and gifted and talented pull-out classes for both math and reading since 2nd grade (90 minutes a week). She tested 266 on the math MAP test this spring. I am looking for ideas for good books for her to work on a little math over the summer, as well as books with some fun "easy to do at home" science projects. Ideas, anyone? She is a gymnast and trains 12 hours a week, so I really am looking for at-home things to do rather than week-long day camps.
She also loves to draw, and told me she wants to "learn to draw people." She has lots of drawing supplies, any suggestions on great step-by-step drawing books for drawing people and animals? Thanks!
