Has anyone used this book with their kids? I am trying to plan some writing excercises for DS6 for the summer and this looked interesting. He wants to write more stories and needs to work on his writing. Also, has anyone used the Stories With Holes books? He reads at a high level but is not interested in discussing when I ask him questions. If he's super excited he will offer information. The bummer is his school (1st grade this fall) requires more in depth discussion and will not challenge him at an appropriate level if he won't discuss. He is very capable, they just don't know that! My hope is that by practicing some fun writing and discussing at home he will become more comfortable. Thoughts?
