We are relocating to Cincinnati (hopefully this summer so my DD's can start school when the new year begins), and I've been researching area school districts like crazy. Many seem to have good GT programs that start in K and include curriculum differentiation, subject or whole grade acceleration, and grouping gifted peers together. I will begin calling individual districts next week to ask questions, but I almost feel like these programs are too good to be true. In our current city, the GT programs are a joke and getting anything "special" in terms of education is like pulling teeth. Some of these Cincy schools sound like paradise -- but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Does anyone in the Cincy area have experience with any schools in the suburbs??
