..my DS5 has been having a rough time at school so we have been doing tons of fun learning things at home...the other day on Yahoo News it stated that Scientists have now decided to call bodies that are orbiting beyond Neptune "plutoids" (Eris and Pluto are now plutoids)...my son loves any and all things to do with space so I passed this information on to him....he quickly came back with, "well mommy, what about Ceres - it's a dwarf planet too but it's not past Neptune...I guess we can call Ceres a "marsoid" because it is past Mars. He just made me giggle :-)

"Kids say the darndest things", Tammy Wynette??

I love marsoid - makes me think of a Mars candy bar fanatic.

Very cute story. But squirt, and here I am showing which birthday is coming up, but isn't the reference Art Linkletter?

I am too old if I know that...

    Really cute smile

I had to giggle over the weekend when my husband was helping with the general house overhaul. He was trying to decide whose bookshelf certain books belonged on. It is getting hard to tell my books from my son's (age 9). He has started picking out certain pre-approved sci-fi books from the adult section of the library and bookstores smile

Of course DH has trouble telling my socks from DS's too smile

My son walked in and saw me looking at the "Gifted Exchange" blog and said something like "I knew it--you're tired of me and you're ready to trade me in."

Ooh Ooh! Parallel lives! I was organizing the books in the house this weekend (and trying desperately to find a single Sherlock Holmes anywhere... I know I used to have it!) and after I was done rearranging everything DH said "Now where do we keep the books that used to be mine but are now DS's?"

As long as the marsoid is not floating in the pool, we'll all be happy!

Was that a reference to Caddyshack? Egads, I'm reliving the 70's...
