Not sure if anybody remembers all my posts about how miserable dd was last year in 1st grade and how the teacher was unsupportive and basically felt dd wasn't gifted.
This year dd is one of seven 2nd graders in the 2/3 G&T class and after a rough first month she finally isn't complaining about going to school anymore! In fact, she says school goes by fast, which tells me she is no longer bored and counting the minutes on the clock. She is currently doing 3rd grade math, I think she could be moving further along but at this point she is happy so I will keep quiet. However, her writing is weak and definitely needs work. I would say she is at grade level for her writing abilities. She really needs to work on her formation of letters and a little bit on spelling.
So I'm looking for a workbook(s) that would help with spelling, grammar, and maybe writing exercises. Any recommendations? We are already doing the Handwriting Without Tears printing book at home together.
