Hi. My 7-year-old has already been tested using the Wechsler. He's in the gifted range. However, there is a huge spread in his scores, due to the timed sections. He does not have processing speed disorders. The psychologist recommended that we have the Stanford Binet administered, to eliminate the timed sections. She does not administer it. I'm having a difficult time finding a psychologist in SoCal that does. Anyone here have a recommendation for finding a psychologist that specializes in gifted kids and administers Stanford Binet in SoCal? I've already checked the Hoagies site. Thanks!

Have you tried contacting local universities? I would imagine if you contact the psychology department you could find someone.

We're not in SoCal, but we just had our DD8 take the SB5 through a local homeschooling resource.

SoCal is kinda big. If near San Diego try Dr. Carolyn Light.

I'm pretty sure I contacted Dr Palmer and was told he didn't administer SB, but I'll go check my email again. We're in Orange County, so I'll try one of the colleges first and Dr. Light as a last resort, since we'd have to travel. Thank you for all the responses!

    Loo and Lukemac-PM'd you.

My DS also tested with Dr. P and I thought he said he administered the SB as well, but I could be mistaken in my recollections.

    Good luck!
