I saw Dreambox mentioned in another thread, and went to look at it. Annoyingly, the site appears to make no mention of price. How much is it?

I hate that sales tactic where they won't tell you how much until you sign up.

It used to have a monthly price for individuals to buy online but I think they've moved more towards school purchase orders. On the parents page towards the top, I see subscriptions starting at $12.95 a month.

You can buy it from HSBC.

Darn. Wish I'd seen that link before I signed up for the free 14 days. I saw Dreambox mentioned here, too. I had been having my dd do Khan academy, but she hated it. She thinks Dreambox is much better. But it's not Mine Craft, so it's never going to get a 5-star rating from her!

Thanks -- I must have missed that! I searched high and low, in vain.

I might just try the free trial and see what DD thinks. Do I have to be a member of the HSBC to get their special, and what does that take?

Just signed DS 5 up for the free trial too. I think it's like crack for the mathy kid! (We do almost no screen time, so doesn't have much to compare it to.)

    It's 12.95 a month or $59.95 for 6 months.

I went with the HSBC special after doing the 14 day trial, and when I had a problem setting up the new account (caused by my previous account with the same name), customer service just combined the two for me. So we didn't lose any of our saved progress.

We used dreambox for a while and liked it, but we came across a road block and it fell out of favor. The main road block was that while my DS could add single digits, he was too slow to add them when he was trying to do adding with regrouping and he became frustrated. I was trying to practice and get up his speed outside of Dreambox, but you know how these kids feel about repetition!
