Rather than take the Harmony Science thread off topic I will start a new one. So, Anderson School for the Gifted? Anyone have personal experience or know someone who has? If you look at the reviews I have seen on Google (only one) or greatschools.com from 2008 the school is described as "Lord of the Flies."

However, the school has numerous, and I do mean numerous, parent reviews from 2009 to present. There are 20 from just the past 2 years which is a huge amount for this review site. They are ALL five star reviews and almost all speak about the superlative experiences of their student (a son for all except one) in very flowery language. They are all so similar, so frequent, so evenly spaced, so incredibly positive that . . . well, I am just suspicious. I am a skeptic by nature though.

I don't trust these reviews. Does anyone actually know firsthand or even secondhand? I would love to know more about this school but don't know anyone who attends.

No personal experience here. We considered it briefly when we were looking at schools and it looked good but it would have been too far a commute for my husband. I'd, too, like to hear from anyone who knows about it.

You're right - the comments on greatschools.com seem very rehearsed .

Maybe you should visit and see what it's like?

I am currently researching DFW schools and came across this:
    http://www.city-data.com/forum/fort-worth/282848-anderson-private-school.html

While the city-data forum information is all anecdotal, I find they are helpful to get a local's point of view. And they are fairly reliable, as opposed to reviews on greatschools.org, which can be easily manipulated.

Wow! Not a great report there either. I thought they didn't take any kids at all with disorders of any kind. Have you visited? Are you considering it?
