DD8 finally saw the neuropsych (for an appointment we made in February) today. Based on her reports of what she remembered about it, I think they just did achievement testing today. The neuropsych said that she worked hard and was very cooperative, so that's good, I guess.

She does seem a lot more relaxed this summer than she did during the school year. I am hoping against hope that this past year's craziness was just a bad fit with her teacher. On the other hand, the report from Girl Scout camp started with "DD made a special effort not to scream at adults," and when I picked her up from theater camp today, the director asked me very dubiously if she likes being at camp. So I don't know.

I'm glad that things seemed to go well at the appointment. I hope you get some answers! (And also that next year's school situation isn't quite as crazy.)

Hmmm. What did your DD say about the girl scout report? And what does she say about camp? I can relate somewhat, in that my kiddo would prefer to stay at home over everything else. He complains that I drag him to camp, but I think he likes it when he's there. It's hard to know, sometimes our kids just won't talk.

She claims to love camp, both the Girl Scout camp and the current theater camp. She's certainly eager to go each morning (which was not really the case during school).

Keep us posted on how the visits have gone. I'm afraid I am not so familiar with 2E issues, but there are many others here who are, and hopefully they'll pipe in.

The reason I asked how your DD likes camp is that the comments from the camps sound a little dubious. Maybe ask the camp counselors to elaborate if it appears that they think your DD is not enjoying camp. It's possible that they are just getting the wrong impression from your kiddo. Anyway, I'm glad she's enjoying the camps.

She's having the second day of testing now, and we're trying to schedule a followup visit with the neuropsych. I am nervous, which just seems stupid. It doesn't even matter how she does in the grand scheme of things, but I'm nervous anyway.
