I am curious if anyone has an idea what the best Psychoeducational tests are for a child who is dyslexic (but can read) and is severely dysgrapphic (writing is roughly 5 years behind. We would like to obviously get the best assessment of cognitive/learning/ knowledge without it being bogged down by the reading/writing issues.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I don't know which test to ask for but WISC 4 comes to mind because you can get a GAI that might give a more accurate measure.

It seems having a tester who can understand that 2e kids really exist.

Here is a site that mich recommended which lists tests that you may want to consider or possibly try to get the school to administer http://www.concordspedpac.org/Whichtest.htm

I'm not sure I exactly understand what you're looking for in the testing, and that will make a difference in how I answer - are you worried that dysgraphia and dyslexia might artificially lower scores and you're testing in the situation where you want the best possible scores (to get into a program with a cut-off etc)... or are you seeking testing to better understand the nature of your child's dyslexia/dysgraphia?
