Does anyone know if the kids tested on the new WPPSI trial can use that score for acceptance to Davidson?

Great question. I would give it a try. Do you have achievement test data to back it up?

I don't have anything ... not even a portfolio. He's 3. I plan to submit his older brother's recent scores for everything, so I figured I could try submitting information for both kids at the same time. I'd have to send a video or something, I guess? I could wait a year or two and have him tested on WJ, but I'd like to submit everything at once if possible.

Have you received the WPPSI IV score already? We were tested but haven't received it.

High scores would probably constitute some evidence of giftedness, but as I understand it the guinea pigs were not given full written reports, which are required, besides the fact that the test is not on the approved list yet. But I'd ask them if you are curious enough. In any event three is too young for admission.

He's not eligible for DYS until he's 5. They may be willing to accept the submission now and start building a file. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Shoot. I forgot about the 5 year old requirement.

We haven't gotten his score yet. We were told it would be probably July, and the tester we were with said she'd be more than happy to do a full consultation with us based on the testing he did with her. He tested so long that she had to break it into 2 days, and she's confident he did extremely well. My older son is 2E and qualifies, so personally, I have no doubt the younger (not 2E) will qualify. We'll see...? I know there's something about not having scores more than 2 years apart, so perhaps I could do the WJ when he turns 5 and submit both the WJ and WPPSI-IV?

Thanks for your help! I'll start building a portfolio for him, in case we decide not to do WJ or can't get it done in time.
