    Hi
I am new to this forum smile
I have looked through lots of the posts and have noticed a few about scatter in wisc scores but none that resemble 12yo sons.
    vci 99th percentile
    pri 55th percentile
    wm 86th percentile
    ps 16th percentile

FSIQ 86th percentile which psyc says is not accurate reflection because of scores that are significantly discrepant from each other. The test was done when he was almost 8.
She wasn't too concerned because his WIAT-II scores came in 99th percentile Reading Comp
    95th percentile for Spelling
    93rd percentile for Maths Reasoning
42nd percentile for Num Operations (under performing)

    My questions are:
Is this what would be called asynchronous development?
Does his test indicate that he might be 2e?
    Is he gifted at all?
Could the scores be very different if he was tested today?

He is very disorganized, has some sensitivities (smell, sounds) reached all developmental milestones early and has an excellent vocabulary and recall. He still struggles with Math but I had him assessed by a tutor last week and she says it is just the mechanics that he has a problem with (should be easy to remedy). He is switched on in most lessons (loves learning) and completely switched off in others (Math).

I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

    Thanks

He sounds an awful lot like my son, whose scores are in this thread.

My son has Asperger's syndrome/NVLD, visual processing deficits, dysgraphia, and significant problems with sensory integration and rote computation. IQ scores are not adequate information in and of themselves to diagnose any of these issues, but the scatter that you see there is certainly a sign to investigate the possibility of other exceptionalities in addition to giftedness.
