My son will be skipped to K from preK and I am sure the kids in K will wonder why he is in their class. The preK and k have recess together so they already know my son. What would you tell your child to say when asked why he is in their class now? Could use some advice before Monday. Thanks =].

Yup. Also teach how to change the subject quickly to defect further questions.

At this age, nonverbal is the way to go -
Practice a light shoulder shrug and 'teacher said so, hey is there an opening at the lego table? Let's go!'

Yay he had his first day today and loved it! He said the kids liked him a lot and the teacher complimented him on how nicely he sat. So excited I just needed to share even if no one reads it =]. I've spent the last 2 years regretting not pushing for a skip earlier just because everyone said he would be messed up socially... Glad I finally went with my initial instincts.
