What sort of apps are you looking for? Games, utility, organization, etc?

Yes, all of the above! We are totally new to this and would like to know the best apps to download (as well as anything we should avoid). Games are good, but the educational component would be better. smile

    Thank you!

DS8 loves Stack the States and Countries as well. The younger ones like Rocket Math as well.

What about a stargazer one for a night time activity?

Thanks for this thread! DD9 spent an hour online today searching through your recommendations. We both LOVE Stack the Countries!!! It inspired her father to find a YouTube video of the Animaniacs song "Yakko's Nations of the World". She is on a mission to chart the world. Maybe she will resurface sometime next year...

While tis company has several games that have free versions, this one has captured the interest of several in the house - from the kiddo we actually bought it for to his dad. While it is created for elementary age, it's a great way to quickly visualize fractions, decimals, negative numbers, etc. In relation to other numbers. Well worth the $2 we spent.
