I never read it. DS10 came home yesterday with his nose stuck in it and hasn't dislodged it yet. So, i know it's a classic but is it ok for his age?

    thanks!

Yes, I think so. There's some threatened violence (someone tries to kill someome via arson) and a death, but I doubt it's anything that would upset most 10yos. It's a wonderful book!

I remember finding it quite upsetting in places when I read it (aged 12 perhaps?) as a school set book. So while I don't think there's anything inappropriate in it, do be prepared to be supportive!
