Want to help norm the new generation of IQ tests? My son participated and enjoyed the process. I'm passing on this info at the request of the researcher:

    Quote
I'd appreciate it if you would pass on this research opportunity to anyone you think may be interested. I am seeking participants between 1st and 6th grades. In order to qualify, they need a cognitive score at or above the 98%ile on an IQ test. They also need to be "designated" as gifted at school or in a homeschool program.
Have anyone who is interested contact me by phone or email. Thanks again!! Jennifer

Just wanted to confirm that Jennifer Grimes is a legitimate person, doing legitimate research. I have personally confirmed this and my DS participated in the research opportunity last week. I know we've had some concerns pop up in the past about what the situation was, who was asking for what and why. She knows what she's doing and she's harmless :-)

Yes, she is. I have met her in person when my son participated in the study.

You can also look up her license number (in the message above.)

For those that have done it, what does participating involve? I tried to find information on the study, but could not find anything on her web page. We live a few hours from Davis, so I thought about doing it but I want to know more.

The researcher emailed me yesterday and told me that she's helping to create new norms for a revision of the WISC and Naglieri tests.

Deonne, you can send her email at jengrimes-at-jennifergrimes-dot-com

The whole thing took about 40 mins. and my son was paid $20 for participating.

Val, no. There is no way to provide scores because this data will be used to generate the norming tables that will be used to score the tests. Also, she is only administering certain subtests (I don't know which ones.)

Lukemac, yes, you would need to go to her office in Davis.
