We live in Ft. Hood area. Both of my DDs (7 and 9) are in TAG cluster program which has done little in the last 2 years. We will try to do CTY online classes as alternative this year and if that doesn't work out, we will have to move. (The ISD stop doing subject acceleration since last year).

My DD7 is HG and we are thinking of moving to Austin/Round Rock area. We are looking at the neighborhood of Canyon Vista/ Laurel Mountain. Any suggestion?

    Thanks.

I'm too far from Austin. I'm down south in the Laredo area. We will be joining the Texas gifted, I guess after my kids start school. Austin's nice. I went there to the bat festival a few years ago and I went to the ROT rally one time before I had kids.

Contact the Texas Association for Gifted. They should be able to help you.

You can also look around on the Austin forum at Citydata for gifted info or ask for info with a specific post.

    Thanx.

I am a member of TXgifted and I heard which schools are good. I just wanted to get opinion from the real parents with gifted kids.

Then I would post a question or search on the citydata forum. You should be able to get a lot of feedback. I know I did when I did the same for those in my area.
