Hello everyone. My name is Liz and I was reading this forum well into the wee hours yesterday. There is so much information and knowledge in this forum. I have a question about the WISC-IV. My son is 8 1/2 and was invited to test for his school's magnet class. He made it into the group and I received his results. They only gave me 2 numbers, his VCI was 142 and his PRI was 123. I have read enough last night to understand there are a few ways to look at the testing...but I don't understand how it is computed. I received no other info on what comprised each score like I have seen others post here. I would need more info to find out his GAI or FSIQ, correct?

We are very proud of him, being bright is "his thing" and he gets it enough to be proud of himself. Like many children I am reading about here, he has his quirks. He is currently diagnosed as ADHD but that's a long road that we are not done walking (or even know if we belong on it.) I was glad to see there is so much support here , I appreciate any input, I just want to do right by him as we all do. Thank you.

Thank you for that info. I was clueless obviously. I suspect there is not more testing than that done or we would have received the other scores. More shall be revealed.
