Do you mean GAI (General Ability Index)? GAI is a combination of the Verbal Comprehension (VC) and Perceptual Reasoning (PR) subtests. It takes out the Working Memory and Processing Speed portions of the full scale IQ. It sounds like your neuropsych wants to see if your DD has a processing issue that may be pulling down her FSIQ and/or her achievement scores. This is common in twice exceptional kids.
