She already homeschools all her other subjects because they can't meet her needs. I was trying to hold out for the middle school thinking there might be more opportunity there. I am not getting a good response so far. I have a meeting set up but they won't see me until December. It sounds like we're starting all over again there. So far this administration has the policy of in class differentiation only. With class sizes now at 27-28 students to a single teacher it just isn't happening and I don't see it as realistic. They only allow high school classes when of chronologic age.

She will still qualify for speech, our MEP is until the second semester of seventh grade. They do not do any social groups, just one on one therapy sessions. I do not know how services change once she gets to the middle school next year. I know she lacks social skills but also know that she is a lot like I was at her age. They blamed it on my mother dying when I was ten, who knows. I am not a social person, although 16 years married to the class clown has helped. smile I think I am reaching the limits of what the school will consider. I'm amazed we have gotten this far and don't want a complete breakdown because I may need to try something similar with one of my twins, and my DS4 also receives services from the school district.
